פְּנִיםm. (b. h., v. 1 Kings 6:29; preced., cmp. ἐνώπια) that which is in front of you when you enter, inside, interior; לִפְנַי (וְ)לִפְ׳ the innermost. Tosef. Yom. II, 5 היו מסיקין מבחוץ והיה נאפה ונרדה מבפ׳ they heated the oven towards the outside (placed the fuel in front), and it (the show-bread) was baked and shoveled out from the interior; Yoma 38a, v. נָסַק.
